Chocolate Fondue

This chocolate fondue is extremely versatile and can be served hot, warm or cold. Provided are four different methods for cooking up this swoon worthy fondue in any kitchen. Recipe serves two but can be multiplied as many times as you’d like for bigger groups. 

Ingredients: 

  • ¼ cup 2% milk 
  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream 
  • ½ tsp instant espresso powder (optional) 
  • Pinch of salt 
  • Splash of vanilla, liqueur or favourite flavouring 
  • 1 tbsp butter or coconut oil 
  • 1 cup favourite chocolate (chips, chunks, or cut up bar)

For stovetop: 

Place chocolate in large bowl, set aside. Pour all ingredients excluding chocolate into small pot, heat over medium heat until simmering and almost at a boil. Remove from heat, pour over chocolate, and allow to sit 5 minutes. Whisk or stir until combined, serve with your favourite dippers! 

For Instant Pot: 

Place chocolate in large bowl, set aside. Set Instant Pot to sauté, on normal, allow to heat up. Pour all ingredients excluding chocolate into Instant Pot, Stirring until simmering and almost at a boil. Remove from heat, pour over chocolate, and allow to sit 5 minutes. Whisk or stir until combined, serve with your favourite dippers! 

For microwave:

Place chocolate in large bowl, set aside. Pour all ingredients excluding chocolate into medium bowl, microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between until almost at a boil. Remove from heat, pour over chocolate, and allow to sit 5 minutes. Whisk or stir until combined, serve with your favourite dippers! 

For slow cooker:

Pour all ingredients including chocolate into slow cooker, cover and set to high. Leave one hour, whisk or stir until combined, serve with your favourite dippers!
